ACADEMIC CENTER AT SAINT JOSEPH’S COLLEGE, PATCHOGUE, NY - The Academic Center is the final phase of renovation of the high school building which the College bought to anchor its suburban campus. With this modification which saw the pre-existing gymnasium converted to classrooms and student meeting rooms, the building has finally acquired a noble interior which provides a “gravitas” consistent with the stature of the academic institution. Taking advantage of the double height of the space, we were able to create a singular focus for the building and the school which provides the visual anchor to the heart of the campus.
