PRIVATE AUTOMOBILE MUSEUM (HOLTERBOSCH) COVE NECK, NY- This masonry structure was designed to accommodate a significant automobile collection and workrooms for their display and maintenance. This program is accommodated in the center and right-hand wing. In the adjacent wing which balances out the composition, we have provided for a skylit indoor swimming pool with access to adjacent outdoor dining areas. The towers house, on one side, a glockenspiel constructed specifically for this setting, and on the other side the private office and studio of the collection owner. The building is one of several out-buildings located on an estate on the North shore of Long Island.
